I've always liked Texas. Now,i know why.
|
Ron White......
I'm from Texas where we have the death penalty..........and we use it!...... |
I like Ron White's comment about "all the states trying to repeal the death penalty, but he comes from Texas where they are installing an express lane!:LOL::LOL:
Tell the World Court that they can have the 51 death row illegals and they can house them in their jail for the rest of their lives. Oh, they do not have a jail. :o:o I wonder if the World Court is doing anything about the millions being slaughtered in North Africa? I doubt it. Why? Nobody has been convicted of anything. |
It's really pretty simple here in Texas....
You kill somebody here,we kill you. |
It has been way too long, they should have been hung at dawn the day after the trial.
I think that Condaliza Rice should ask herself what she would do if it were her 14 and 16 year old daughters that were raped and mudered by these gang members. Would she say "oh, let's just slap them on the wrist and send them back home, so they can do it again" Or would these criminals have come up missing! Get a rope! |
Sh!t, I AM A LIBERAL, and I STILL completely agree with the Texas approach mentioned by Fred.
"You kill someone, we kill you"! and I also think we should broaden it to... "You molest a child, we kill you" "You kill an animal, we kill you" (That's an English thing, we are ALL animal lovers) Ok..so I am not THAT liberal...LOL Glyn |
The problem here is that Americans can and will be judged in other foreign countries and also executed as that country see's fit. While I have some faith in the US system (some, as in limited, ESPECIALLY as it concerns Texas) I trust it substantially more than many other countries that could specifiy a death penalty.
As a foreign national in this country, right or wrong, there case should be considered on a global impact basis. |
Ernie, Why should it be considered on a Global Impact Basis. I don't care if they are a dam diplomat from a foreign country, if they kill or break the law here they should be treated just as any citizen is. I hate that diplomatic immunity and think it should be doe away with. So far as the rest of the foreign nationals go, if they kill someone dispatch them as quickly as possible. Then maybe we won't have so many of them running around over here. No other country cares what the United States thinks when they kill one of our citizens. When you are in any country, whether you are an American in another country or a person from another country in the United States you are and should be subject to that countries laws. Ron |

Ernie, with all due respect, that is absolutely ignorant. |
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA,
If you get arrested in Mexico for jaywalking. You don't even get a phonecall. You disappear, and unless you can make bribes you may never be heard of again. Once again Mexico wants it all. We should accept their criminal immigrants, and give them amnesty? We need to follow thier immigration laws. These guys need to die in public, so thier fellow Mexican criminals can see what can be done.....HIGH FIVE TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
So Earnie,
Do I understand you correctly that if this raping murder had raped your two daughters and them killed them and left them in the streets, you would just say, "oh, I wonder what the mexican people would think if I got upset about it?" If so, man do you need a reality check. Come on over and spend some time in Texas my firend, we'll show you how Cowboys deal with people like this! :) You kill one of us.... We could care less who you are. Dead man walking! |

I2F That is waht I am talking about. If they would hang these bastards on the ten O'clock news everynight, this kind of stuff would not happen here. :D |

They are luckey to have been given a trial. But I guess Texas has a little of the PC BS,we have to give them a fair trial before we get to hang'em.%/ |

Ernie,
I also understand the implications of what this may mean to some American who gets in trouble in a foreign land where the term 'fair trial' could well be a joke. Not could be, IS!. It would be nice if all countries would agree to treat other countries criminals the same and that I what we are starting to do. I too hate the diplomatic immunity crap. If you commit a crime in any country then I feel you should be subject to that countries laws. If that means being put to death than so be it. Don't commit the crime to start with. Treat the criminals that come here the same way as those countries treat our people who go there and one of two things should happen. One, there will be less crime committed by foreign visitors, or two there will be less foreign visitors. They should not get a free pass. Ron %/ |
He did the crime in 1994 - his buddies have been executed or are in jail -
why is he still alive? This is no "who done it crime" crikey, let's poop or get off the pot already. I'm rooting for Texas on this one. |
Any bets that Texas won't kill the SOB right on schedule ?
|
First off, I agree that hanging is almost too humane for the murdering bastard - handing him off to some stout male relatives of the victims equipped with brass knuckles might be more satisfying.
I also agree that people should be subject to the laws of the country they choose to be in. I can't help but remember a few years ago, though, the huge hue and cries of outrage when the American teen accused of vandalism somewhere in the Far East was condemned to a good flogging in accordance with that country's laws... |
...or going to jail in Saudi Arabia for kissing in public. There is no simple solution here.
|
I am guessing the gays won't be dashing off to most of the middle
eastern muslim countries since they tend to hang them if they catch them, at least that was the news more recently than the caning to the spray painter. I think anyone who doesn't do a little research prior to going to foreign countries regarding acceptable behavior there, who then proceeds to act like an idiot, probably deserves what ever he gets. Sort of like Darwinian culling IMHO. |
