Soon there will only be one party,as the dems keep buying votes with the so called stimulus package. The only thing stimulated are the low lifes who will get money from this deal who will now vote democratic and never have to work.

Q: How do you get a Democrat to pay taxes?
A: Nominate him/her for a position in Obama's cabinet.

What a stroke of genius. He is going to continue to nominate people
to his cabinet, one at a time, until he gets all the deadbeat
Democrats to pay their taxes. Then he will work on the Republicans
who haven't done their civic duty. In about seven or eight years he
will still not have a cabinet, but will come close to wiping out the
deficit.

A few more items that are in the Stimulus (no pork according to Obama) package.....

- The Senate stimulus contains $50 million for habitat restoration and other water needs in the San Francisco Bay Area. There is another $62 million for military projects in Guam.

- The Senate bill directs $1.2 billion to the Transportation Security Administration for hardware, including explosive detection machines, which are made by only three companies: General Electric, L-3 Communications and Reveal Imaging Technologies. (Msnbc.com is a joint venture of Microsoft and NBC Universal, which is a GE company.)

- There’s $198 million to compensate Filipino World War II veterans for their service. Most don’t live in the United States.

Geez....

The package has passed ....

I have started typing a reply to a post that got my attention at least 20 times today, and then stopped and went back. It just doesn’t seem to matter anymore. This is what people wanted-they will say all day that they want a free America, they don’t want socialism-they don’t seem to realise that they want everything but the name. They want government to take care of them, and they don’t want to have to make any real effort in exchange. They can’t understand that at some point, for them to receive, someone has to produce, and after all the incentive to produce has been eroded, government will have to force production, which will mean the minimum effort for minimum reward. That’s what’s coming. Anyone who wants to escape the forced heroin (nanny government) addiction will have to get to a remote area, learn to grow their food, learn to live without mod cons, and stay armed. If that’s not enough, well then-like my patriot forefathers-I’d rather die on my feet than live on my knees.

The House and/or Senate stimulus bills would undo the 1996 welfare reforms, explode entitlement spending by a cool quarter trillion dollars, lay the groundwork for the federal government’s takeover of our health care system, double Uncle Sam’s already overbearing role in education, require taxpayers to pick up the bail tab for potentially dangerous felons, allow unemployed Wall Street executives to qualify for Medicaid, and reignite the fires of trade protectionism, thereby risking a global trade war.

We are so screwed.....

Comrades

On Fox news a NH senator stated the Dems embedded HR 45: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 is in the stimulus bill and will be passed and Chairman Mao will sign it into law Tuesday!
Step 1 complete in disarming America...

1938 the Nazis needed to disarm the Jews and others considered untrustworthy!

Jan 20 08 USSA will we be considered untrustworthy..

The business climate has gone to sub zero!!
The second week in January I laid off seven of the finest electricians I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Most have been with me for years and all have accomplished themselves in working environments that would scare the S**t out of most men.
We forcasted our business year in August of 2008 and it looked bad then. Now that the new year is upon us, every benchmark we set has turned out to be much, much worse than I expected.
Companies that had signed contracts put them on hold. Other companies that were in the paperwork process have terminated their interest in our services. We lost over six hundred thousand dollars worth of work in January alone. February doesn't look to be much better.
As I meet with these clients, the consensus is universal that they are rolling up the budgets and waiting to see what happens.

Question - do you think the stimulus package will have any impact on your business in the next year or two?

Having to lay off people in this environment is a huge bummer.
