There is a big difference between the policies of the Bush administration and Conservatives. Part of the problem is that the GOP has been trying to lay claim to the 'Conservative' title for a while, and they just are not. A bigger part of the problem is that people who vote for the GOP think they are voting for conservative values, and they (for the most part) don't even know what that means. They think the GOP stands for fiscal responsibility (they don't) and that the DNC stands for tax and spend (they do). They also think that the GOP stands for individual freedom (they don't). This election was about a larger number of people (finally) realising that the GOP that they want does not exist. I have some level of hope that 4 years of Obama will fix the stupid things that Bush did, and also force the GOP to move sooner rather than later to be the small government/small taxes/individual freedom party they pretend to be.

I like a double-bagged Irish Breakfast tea (strong and chewy - just like Guinness!), so I would rather not waste any more good tea just to protest. However, despite the cleanup efforts for Boston Harbour, it still has pretty decent levels of toxicity - instead of throwing the tea in the harbour we should dump in the politicians (both parties). I think that would have a stronger impact and more lasting consequences (especially concerning their future health issues  ).
