Now this is the type of post that I dearly love. And the "client initiative" aspect dovetails nicely with my first post (conveniently copied below). As a typical "client," I understand that the best way I can make or save money is to take it away from someone else . If I can effectively take it away from the person who is actually doing the work, and still get the benefit of their work, but make it appear that it's being taken away by the intermediate contracting service, then boy is that great.

But if they passed a portion of the savings on to me that they made off of screwing you (because I'm the contracting client) then not only do I get the benefit of your high quality engineering services but I actually save money as a result of their behavior. I could even commiserate with you while I'm secretly laughing up my sleeve.
