Default just for fun: 1:18 scale cobra427; s/c to street modification

Hi,

After I've modified 1:32 cobra427s/c to street.
I remember that I don't have enough street cobra model in my collection of around 200 items.
So, I modified 1:18 cobra427s/c to street

That's pretty good. However, didn't street Cobra's have over-riders instead of quick jacks? And typically, with the rear bumper loop as well as the front oval loop?

Right you are. In addition, the fuel filler was much smaller than on the SC/Comp cars (it was actually a Lucas item that was also found on Norton Commando motorcycles), the rear fender lip was absent on the street 427s, and there was a horizontal divider in the radiator opening.

Still, a great piece of work.

Good work. I know you'll find another diecast with bumpers that you'll steal for this baby.

How about soldering up some wire for the fenders?
Could you make a cast of the overriders from one of the other cars using FiMo or plasticene, fill with resin, and cover with baking foil - would that work?

Great car btw,
