Spring has sprung ... at least for one day. It got up to 59°F this afternoon, so a ride was in order.
|
Have had mine out twice in last week. $%^*%(^) cold but it felt good to get behind the wheel.
Now the spring "to do" list gets underway. April 1st looks to be 60 and cloudy. May have to take advantage! 442: welcome back from your vacation and thanks for the vids all winter long. |
Nice, sounds good to.

Got the DSL up and running just a little while ago. Got over here as fast as I could to FINALLY see some of your videos.:) I'm very impressed !!! The sound of your engine is very impressive too. Great sound. |
What a glorious evening for a ride. Took this video with the camera set at 3X zoom.

OK
Who got in a ride yesterday? I did. 48F when I left, 38F when I got home. Glorious ride, except the one time I shifted into third and the tires broke loose big time. Time to buy some Depends! http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...021_Small_.JPG Sorry, no video ..... |
You may have a little competition from the Contemporary corner :D

Yesterday's temp was up into the 60's, and the Weather Channel forecast is for more crappy weather for another week .... so I added a half bottle of Stabil and about 15 gallons of gas. But I had to make sure it was well mixed ...
|
What was the mailman's reaction in the first one?
On my romps I figure I'm good for maybe two good 1-2-3 pulls. After that I've woken up every cop within a 2 mile radius. :D -Dean |
The mailman was taking a nap when I drove in the road. At the end is an old terminal for a supermarket chain. Great place for screwing around ... drifting, donuts, etc.
|
I want to drive where you drive. My video would show me pulling thru first, second, then a cotton headed old fart appears in an 81 dodge caravan!
I actually got out yesterday too. I was hauling down a nice back road when I approached many fire trucks, police etc. the road was completely blocked off. I waited about 3 or 4 minutes as cars backed up behind me, about 7 or 8 deep. I decided that it was better to turn back. So I cut the wheel dumped the clutch and pulled a split second 180. I wish I could have recorded all of the smiling faces as I drove past the stopped line of cars. Great first day out experience. WTM keep the videos coming, you have that down to a science. |

How about an old lady in a Civic? |
I absolutely love 1000 foot on-ramps. I just with they had a one mile on-ramp so I could power shift into fifth and bog the motor down.
|
Your in BIG TROUBLE
wtm442 The STATE POLICE of MA are sending you 8 tickets from failure to Stop at a Stop sign, (rolling) Loud exhaust, Excessive speed, 26 mph over the speed limit on the ramps, Scarying the hell of the Mail Man, Possible endangerment to wild animals, like deer and MOOSE. Not acting your age,**););):D, and Failure to stop for the cop who couldn't keep up with you. I hope the fishing is good this year for you as the car may be impounded for the summer.;):LOL::LOL: Are these videos allowed in court? Plead the fiveth on all and say you forgot your medicine. If that doesn't work go for the Alshiemer defense. Car sounds and is running good, watch out for the side street dumbies that are not paying attendion to you even with the noise you make. Rick L.
|
Some video showing Tach and speedometer would be cool!!**)
|
Warren great video! And surprisingly little wind noise.
I also recognize that area - I went to school in Milton. I used to cruise those roads in my 68 Camaro with built Z28 motor. Also remember climbing the Blue Hills ski slope (without snow) in my first car, a dune buggy. I rember thinking the slope was so steep that I was leaning forward in my seat so the car wouldn't flip over backwards:LOL: It was a great hill climb, but for some reason the police didn't share my excitement when they met me at the bottom! Matt |
Matt
I decided that a picture at the bottom was enough. Its a lot more imposing when the hill is covered with snow. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...275_Small_.JPG |

You would need 2 video recorders and some good software to marry the two together. There is also a nice program that will add a tach and show what gear you are in to the video. But it cost some bucks. I'm just using my 5 year old Nikon camera (was $250 back then) that also takes videos, and using a $5 suction cup threaded to the bottom of the camera. Very low buck and NO tech.:LOL::LOL: |
