Talking NEW Gransport Coupe

Classic Roadsters II is proud to introduce the HDR Gransport coupe. Highland Daytona Racing has given us exclusive rights to sell the first roller version of their Daytona Coupe. This is the first offering HDR has ever done in any type of builder form. HDR sells their Daytona coupe in turnkey form beginning @ $75k. This offering for a roller version will allow the builder to get hands on in the completion of the car. HDR is known for the quality of their cars and it doesn’t change with the new Gransport. I will have all information on my website by Tuesday February 22nd. If you have any questions before then please give me a call @ 1-888-722-6272. The roller is being offered @ $29,250. This car will be available in limited quantities.

The new HDR Gransport model Daytona kit closely utilizes most of the same engineering, parts and extremely high end raw materials that are found in our standard high end turnkey models; obviously the frame itself had to be modified in order to make the car kit build-able. Our body is produced with one of the highest grade resin type available and is layered with a partial hand laid and partial chopper gun technique and reinforced with Cormat in strategic areas. Our body has been intentionally produced in black colored gel-coat in order to accentuate the fact that there is little to no body work needed to finalize the body to a show finish. Our body also has all of the ports obviously outlined from the mold itself so there’s no measuring guess work when cutting, drilling or riveting. All of the chassis parts, I.e. suspension links, brackets ect, are the very same used in our high end turnkey models as are all of the after market parts which ensures you that we can and will support these items for and through your cars production. It further insures you the absolute best names in GT car parts rather then_standard_stock geometry Ford or Chevy parts. HDR is also to our knowledge the only company who will warranty all of the chassis parts produced in-house for 3yrs or 36000 miles after the car is completed

p.s. The body mold for this car was pulled from the original #2299 before the last paint job. The mold was then squared front to back and side to side because #2299 was not dimensionally the same from side to side.

Do calipers and rotors come with it, or what will attach to the anchors?

Don, I would be happy to keep a completed Grandsport for you in my garage as a NorthEast demo model ......., with " occasional" week end use.

Man I just love these cars. Price sounds very reasonable. Want to trade for a Classic Roadster?

Interesting. So you are putting a different body on this car. HDR said their body came from the former R&D. I'm pretty familiar with the shape of CSX 2299 (the car produced with a 1" error in the roof line) which has a "flat" roof contour compared to the other coupes. This car doesn't look a lot like 2299.

The only molds I know pulled from 2299 were done by Contemporary which is now owned by Upstate.

Am I missing something here?

Rick Ellis says the mold was pulled from 2299. They did quite a bit of work to straighten the car out before they pulled any bodies. Rick did tell me the Upstate mold was pulled from the same car. If you have any questions about the body you can give Rick a call.

The car in the photo is not a Superformance. It's quite obvious it's an HDR car. The wording above the hood latch says Daytona. The car is owned by Bill Bosquet in New Hampshire. New glasses in the future perhaps! I don't appreciate the accusation of using some other companies photos.
