That's funny, me too!
I haven't been able to access this site for a while. I'll begin assessing interest today.

Phil and Sandy,
I hate those kinds of pictures, especially involving friends.
I just heard about it from Igofaster last night.
I have experience taking out transmissions as you know
Pat and I are so sorry.

Thanks, Maurice. We were very fortunate and have pretty much healed up. The car is a total loss and time to move on. We hope you and Pat are doing well.

I've said this before, your car can always be replaced, your life cannot. Good to hear that you have both healed.
Sincerely,
Bill S.

We are glad to hear that Sandy and you are covering. Hopefully we will see you both at the toy run.

Wow Phil - with the forum issues I completely missed this. Sorry it happened but happy that you and your wife are ok. I've been there - came out with a broken shoulder - and I thank heavens I was alone when it happened.
All the best going forward.

Auction price of $1,500 bucks? Isn’t that an FE under the hood?
The wheels alone are worth that much.
Someone is going to get a great deal on a drive train.

Where did you come up with $1,500? The insurance company wanted $14,000 for a buy back.

Check the Hemmings link in spdbrake’s post above. May not be your car.

That page also says ACV is $45,000, and Estimated Repair Cost is $38,688. It may be good value as a parts car, depending upon sale price. OTOH, frame / chassis may be good, in which case it's mostly fiberglass and paint work to get it back on the road. I can see how the ERC could reach high $30s if it's headed to a body shop.
