Thanks to all, I thought I heard something about complete turnkeys having issues. Ok, second question, Let's say I go with a Backdraft, no dealer in CA that I am aware of. Dealer is in TX or CT, I buy the turnkey (-) motor and trans, receipt # 1. Right next to Backdraft dealer is an install shop, who does the install of motor and trans, receipt # 2, again this is out of the state of CA. Will the 2 receipts from 2 different out of state vendors works for SB100? This same scenario is done in CA with Superformance all the time, so just wondering how they (Superformance) make it work.
Thanks,
Craig

Yes, that works. The vendors have to be different, but it doesn't matter which State they're located. I bought a Kirkham from UT, purchased the engine from a CA vendor, purchased the trans from a TX vendor and then had a local Bay Area (CA) shop do the install.

As Rodney mentioned, an out of state purchase won't impact your ability to register the car. You will have to pay all sales tax (nice big check) on the roller and the engine/trans.
I bought my car from Dynamic in Reno and Full Throttle did the install. Two separate entities and separate receipts from both.

Thanks to all for the info. I will be as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs until I pass the SB100

The good news, is that they didn't burn through all of the SB100 numbers on the first day this year. There was something like 50 available during the first quarter of the year.
