For those that got tickets for up front (corral) parking --
The Oregon guys are staying at the Shilo Inn on Hosmer off 72nd. Friday night we'll be at the Griot's cruise-in around 6pm. Saturday morning we're meeting at Elmer's restaurant on Hosmer at 7am. Then cruise in to LeMay's after breakfast.

Because of our great Northwest weather the Oregon guys won't be driving up Friday. Per LeMay's, if we purchased tickets they will honor them for a later event. There will be opportunities later this summer to use them. We gave it our best shot. I'm hoping the rain will hold our for at least a couple hours Saturday morning to stop by Griot's.

Just checked the weather and as of 7 pm it shows 40% chance of rain on Sat, 10% chance on Sun.
Bruce........are you saying the Oregon guys are not coming at all?
Looks like the best of the worst would be Sun, but who knows at this point.
Not sure why Groit's scheduled their Carroll Shelby tribute the same weekend as the LeMay opening, but it is what it is and at this point I guess it really doesn't matter cause the weather blows for the whole weekend.
I guess we can just play it by ear and if it looks like we can do either show, we'll go.

Ray,

Looks like 2 and maybe 3 of the Oregon guys are driving up in one car. They've cancelled their reservations at the Shilo Inn and will be driving up Saturday morning. James contacted LeMay's and was told our tickets will be honored for a later event if we don't use them this Saturday. Although the guy at LeMay's wanted to know who would be there. I'd just as well not get stuck in a corral and not be able to get out if it starts pouring. I'm with you on playing it by ear.

just checked.........down to a 30% chance on Sat, still 10% chance on Sun.
If we go, there will no doubt be some empty spaces in the corral. Do you think I could park there if I pay the 10 bucks? This is assuming like you say, we're not blocked in and can get the heck out if it starts pouring.

Ray,

I assume there would be a very good chance you could park there. Not sure of the cost. I paid $35, which allows for the roadster and two people. Give Warren a call. I now the Oregon crew won't be bringing their Cobras. We had reservations for our corral under Cascade Cobras.

If the roads are dry and the sky is not black I would like to hit Griot's in the morning and go to Lemay's.

For the North/Central Sound guys hardy/foolish enough to brave the elements, here's the plan some of us came up with over on FFR:

7:00 AM - Meet at Panera Bread, Federal Way

8:00 AM - Drive to the LeMay Museum. I imagine the corral guys will split off from the normal parking guys.

That's it. The more the merrier, but the times are pretty tight and - in the tradition of Top Gear - you can bet we'll wait for our mates...

If you want to be like Jake (and who among us doesn't?) and head over to Griot's, that's cool too!

Joe

Jake & Ray & Others,

Do you want to meet up someplace and cruise in together? McLendon's? 0730?

That sounds good to me. What Jake sez...........as long as it's not really looking bad in the AM, I'm up for takin a chance. Still showing 30% chance in the morning and then partial sun in the afternoon.
0730 at McLendon's
