New Car Museum in PNW 3500 cars
A thread has been started on FFCARS.COM and it looks like there is some interest for the Oregon and Washington Cobra Drivers to get together someplace south for a cruise into the opening day of the new Lemay museum. The official opening date is June 2, 2012. Bob Schaefer has recommended the Washington group meet at the usual I5 & Hwy 512 McDonalds. Check it out. That does sound like fun Bruce. Maybe we could incorporate lunch and a drive somewhere after taking the tour of the museum.

				 Museum Run
Is anyone going to see about arranging for parking for the group at the museum?

Jake --That sounds like a great idea and a lot of fun. I'll add that idea over at FFCars too. June 2 is a ways off so we have time to round up a lot of drivers.

With the winter season here it has sure been quiet on both ClubCobra and FFCars.

 Dale --
James over on FFCars is working on parking options for us. This is what he said:
I am in contact with Sandy Scott the museum's event manager to see if we can set up special parking, group rates, etc. The official opening date is June, 2nd, 2012. They haven't set the fees yet so we will have to wait.

I'm betting this opening day is going to draw a huge crowd. The Oregon group had a good idea to start the plans for this now.

Cascade Cobras run to LeMay Car Museum June 2/3
James with Cascade Cobras just posted the following at ffcars:New Car Museum in PNW 3500 cars - FFCars.com : Factory Five Racing Discussion Forum
I have a new contact at the museum.

We have been invited to display our cars outside the building on the grounds.
We are allowed 8 cars Saturday the 2nd, & 8 cars Sunday the 3rd.

Cost is $35 which includes 2 - $14 museum tickets. Anyone interested contact me, They are requesting photo of your car, year/model your car is a replica of. If you are planning to stay the evening before or after I need to know as there are not a lot of places close by & I want to set reservations as soon as possible

I recommended a good place to meet would be the Hawks Prairie restaurant in Lacey WA (exit 111). We could all cruise in from there.

Thoughts?

				 We're in
 Dale,
I'm quite hopeful we can make it work on the 2nd so count us in as coming from north of Seattle, like 128th exit.

From what I read on the FFR thread, all the parking up front is gone, so well be with the masses in the Tacoma Dome parking lot, which should not be too bad. Although there will undoubtably be masses upon masses of people showing up for the grand opening.

Not sure, but there may be a chance to form another corral for the up front parking. Sounds like they are limiting 8 cars per corral. Otherwise it's open parking. Here is the contact at LeMay's if anybody is interested.Warren Lubow

Bruce, any updates? Are you still planning on picking up a group of people at the 512 McDonald's? Any idea on time?
 Thanks, Jake

 Jake,
Looks like a change of plans. The Oregon guys are arriving on Friday afternoon/evening (June 1). Not sure of the exact time. They're staying at the Shilo Inn on Hosmer. James (Oregon) arranged for 8 spaces in the Coral. That's all he could get. I was able to get in on that. Not sure where we will meet Saturday morning. I offered to meet the Oregon guys Friday night for dinner. Haven't heard back yet. I did receive an email from Warren Lubow (LeMay's Rep). If all the people he sent emails to haven't registered by the end of this week, he is opening up registration to other people. Warren's contact info is in this thread. Please contact him. There may be room for more up front Coral parking. If, not its open parking.

I just queried the Cobra drivers at FFCars.com to see if there are other Oregon and Washington drivers planning on attending. If so, we can connect and drive in together. I'll let you know if anybody responds.
