Skinny!!? Svelte perhaps. Slender works. Certainly lean and graceful. But "skinny"!! They say fully 2/3 of americans are overweight. The lithe and elegant street 289 is not among them. As Peter Egan so aptly put it in his recent Road & Track article about driving a slabside across the U.S., "...the Cobra has both beauty and brutality in its lines." He was talking about the 289 friends and neighbors. SKINNY...hhrrrumph!

GREAT drawing! Now how 'bout a 427 S/C and a line of (you guessed it) the time-honored response to just about anything intriguing or out of the ordinary--the Amurrican T-SHIRT? I think "Slab" could make a killing---as long as they came in XXXL-T----oh, did I mention my proclivity toward pork? I maybe be alone out there---in fact there are lots of us with Godlike physiques! I can't wait for what promises to be something beyond anything I've ever done in a car (or boat or plane or whatever..). Good grief! We have 19 cars signed on for the run so far. Is this gonna be fun or what?
FYI: I have only reserved 15 rooms in the motels listed in your flyer. If you haven't called for reservations yet, you should do it now. I'm sure getting more than 15 rooms isn't a problem at this date, but as we get closer it will become a problem. If you haven't sent me your cell # yet, please do. Bish |
