Default Better get cookin'

Hmmm... Enzo in a GT40. Never thought I'd see that one! Ferrari vs. Ford the final conflict.

The dates looks good. We may run cleanup if the car isn't ready.

Better watch out for those rawhide bone remnants!

This is our smooth coated collie 'Kidd'

Bev plays with him herding sheep, I just play with the cobra.

Default PTO is Approved!!!

Please don't change the dates because I got the boss to sign off on my vacation (PTO) request for the July 15-22 ride, so we're there rain or shine. Nothin' new about that? Anyone who has done the Skagit Cruise knows that.

Bish, have you got your date picked yet? You know we will need to fudge whatever your choice is by a week. Yuk Yuk Yuk... Just kidding Bish, odds are in the favor of the Skagit Cruise having sun this year (and the stock market going up---NOT)!!!

Really looking forward to these two events as some of the most memorable highlights of the summer fun and good times with friends.

Regards,
Kev and Di

Thumbs up August is the Month

Bish,

Just try to keep it in early August (already penciled in my schedule) and I'm sure we'll have great weather and RIBS! Don't let Waldo run your show, we all know he loves to push us around. Just kidding Walt!

Cheers!
Kevin

I have to tell you, that after lst year's disaster and the "almost disaster" the year before, I'm a little gunshy about trying it again.

That said, let's pencil in the 1st weekend in August, that would be the 2nd or 3rd and see what happens.

Bish,

We're there. Be sure to put up a post when you’re ready to commit. Looking forward to this and I don't give a $hi! if it rains. As Motor City's Bruce Springsteen sings, "I'm born in the Washington..rain"

Just noticed this post ( my first day here on this forum ) and didn't want to step on any toes. If you would like to plan your run through Bonners Ferry, Idaho, you are all welcome to stay there and have the cars under cover. I'd still be happy to host that evening and joing the run from there if I could. Sorry I didn't see this earlier ....Thanks.

Was able to find a block and crank last week. Everything checked good at the machine shop. Pistons ordered and the manifold came today. Hope to have it on the run stand by mid Feb with a projected install date of early March. Building a good strong "Y" block takes time so lets not rush things, I will be ready for the first run.
The route is planned out and I will have it with me at Red Hook, we can talk about any changes that may need to be made. There may be an extra day so we can decide if we want it on cut the run by a day. The run is still for 7 days but when I posted the dates I made it for 8. If we decide to make it a 8 days then we will leave on the 15th and if its for 7 we leave on the 16th, either way we return on the 22nd.

OK, Hamilton, knock it off. We know you're putting in a BB chev. Tell us what is really going on behind the dog's tooth marks.

Did you know you can buy almost all the parts you need for a "Y" block on E-Bay. You have to remember they are all used but the price is right.I may have a little hood clearence problem with the pair of Holley High Dome's and oil bath air cleaners.
I would own a WCC before I would put a Chevy motor in a Tupperware car.

Default Back to top

Anyone,

Just thought I'd pop this back to the top with a couple stupid questions.
1) We depart on the 16th AM and arrive back in WA. on the 22nd.
2) What time and where are the meeting points located for the 16th?

Kevin

I plan on leaving the Tacoma area at 7:00 AM. We plan to be in the Mount Vernon area around 9, plan on eating and regrouping. My plan is to put Bish in the lead to get us to Sumas for the boarder crossing. We should be in Princeton around 3 or 3:30.

Fred, if we leave on the 15th- where do you plan on spending the night as our reservations for Princeton are for the 16th --I believe??? Also, I live in Des Moines so you could swing by or I could meet you somewhere on I-5. Just give me a time and place and we will be there. We are really looking forward to the trip. If I can help in any way let me know.
