Default Need some input:

Quite of few in the group have indicated that they are going to come to Mount Vernon on Friday Night, August 1st, stay in a Motel and be ready to hit the road on Saturday morning.

Probably the best place to stay is at the Cotton Tree Inn (Ph # 360 428 5678), so if you think that is what you want to do, give them a call and make a res.

We are planning on going to the Big Lake Bar & Grill on Friday night. It is just down the road from my place and is a great place for fun, 50's/60's R&R and burgers that rate right up there. Will be fun to get a bunch together.

I know a lot of you are coming from about an hour and a half drive away so we need to talk about how we are going to do this run. Some of the group wants to get going first thing in the morning so as to get to Whistler early enough to have the day to play: i.e. rent bikes and take them on the gondola to the top of the mountain and ride the trails down. There will be two other car clubs there also. Porches and Corvettes so there will be a lot to see and do. The thought is to get underway at 0700 or 0800 from Mount Vernon which will put us in Whistler before noon. We have talked about going in a couple of groups. Those that want to leave early can do that and those that want to leave later can meet up with the rest in Whistler. I never know how many cars will actually show up, but I think we are about 20 including the Canadian cars that will hook up with us on the way.

It's fun to go in one big caravan, but that may be hard to do.

The plan is to meet at Lowes parking lot in Mount Vernon and leave from there via Hwy 9 to Sumas.

Can you guys down south get here by 0800 or do you want to find your own way there?
