Default looking for performance parts for 460

after further inspection it looks like an ill designed pan was the cause of my oil starvation problems. flattened the cam & sent junk running throughout the motor. the crank is repairable, the cam bearings ok & the rods just fine.

i am looking for some suggestions as to who makes good pans for the application or to buy one some one has with windage tray, baffles, crank scraper.

also looking for used or new alum heads or ported & polished iron heads. want to increase compression, pistons are flat tops with valve cut outs & come within 1/16 " of deck at TDC. have crane roller rocker & guide plate with screw in studes. will be replacing springs.

a high volume water pump would be nice also

if you have any of these available for sale contact me.

Milodon makes a very good pan for the Lima motors. Good pricing, too.
Sorry that I don't have many parts left. All I have is a set of the heavy cast iron police interceptor heads--1970's, I think. You'd be better off getting a set of aluminum heads.

I would sure suggest you replace the cam bearings just to be sure no metal impregnated in the old brgs. Easy to spend YOUR money but this is cheap insurance to be sure.

Thumbs up Blue Thunder

I run Blue Thunder Super Cobra Jet Alum Heads on my 429 and LOVE them. Crisp crackle at idle and full NASCAR with your foot in em, and lots of go go. Not cheap not too expensive ~$800.00 bare naked. I run 10.5:1 compression ratio pistons, alum roller rockers, mid-range cam. I can still run unaltered pump gas.
