It is more than miserable...
It is actually dangerous on the west side when this happens... the poor moms with kids and jobs and day care and school closures... I used to live in Kirkland and commute on 520 . Worked on 2nd , just above the Public Market. The first winter I was there, it started to snow about 10 am.... the boss told us to go home...well, hell, what for ? Just a little snow...we all went over to this neat bar that had windows at street level (I can't remember the name) and drank toddies and sang songs and watched the street scenes. That was when the Mothers were just pissed and so there was more drinking and driving . When we started home about 2:30 pm we found out why he sent us home !!! What a mess....wrecks...abandoned cars....I damn near pissed my pants sitting on that fricken bridge....didn't get home till 3 am.... never made that mistake again  |
