Mickmate ... I should have been more specific . If you are looking for an original fule filter etc , they are hard to find and expensive . Luckily , I have an original on my Galaxie and another that I will put on my Cobra maybe next winter .

Thanks Bob, a LOT of research went into this engine build. From the start of my build (FFR mk3.1) the plan is to replicate an origional as close as possible.

For me, researching, looking for, and finding these old OEM parts is the best part of the build!

Wouldn't mind seeing a pic of the 427Q!

I`ll try to get you a picture of my 427 S/O next week .... recovering from some surgery now and am still on Oxicodone ( ? ) for the "discomfort " .... and feel kinda " loopy " .
I also see you used the correct back color for the block and heads .
I`ve also got an original Sidewinder intake I`ll be playing with on the Cobra sometime in the future .... and it has " Cobra " cast on it !
Another source for vintage NOS and quality Galaxie 427 parts is a friend of mine ... Gregg Donahue in FL ... he is also a wealth of information and other sources . If you want , I`ll PM you his contact info .

Yep, kept it black. I'm even going to leave the burned off exhaust runners bare (where the paint burned off) as this was LARGELY common.

I hope your recovery goes well. Better to take the pictures later...... Don't want any blury pictures.....LOL
