Greg, for what it's worth, I got tired of tucking in the boot every time I SAW it. There did not seem to have been a fastening system worth a fig. So, one day I started looking at pics of original cars, and realized LIKE NICK SAYS none of those original cars had boots. I went to my car, yanked the boot out, and never looked back. It looks so much better without it, and that headache is gone
