Default Proper Location For SW 240A fuel pump on 289 FIA Cars

I picked up a SW 240A today for my build. No plans to make it functional. More for originality purposes. Just need to know where to locate it. Any pics would be great.

Thanks
Bill

Bill, I cannot help with FIA location, but Daytona Coupes had either 2 or 3 of them, mounted outboard of RH main chassis rail, just inboard of the RR tire. Hopefully others can help, I have pics somewhere of a bare chassis resto on an FIA but cannot remember where.

The 289 mounted the 240A on the inside left trunk frame.
This is unlike the dual 427 style mounted on the right side of trunk.

Thanks CCX. I assume in the same area as the 427 just on the opposite side?

There's no room in the trunk with the additional tank. The later chassis I'm familiar with has the pump mounted to a bracket that's welded to the LH upright frame member near the upper shock mount.

So it would be another detail about your car that only you would know... But for some of us, that's half the fun
