Until I was lucky enough to find a stash of really cool looking Supertanium bolts, I was using the titanium aircraft bolts with the thin head. I have several 1/4" bolts that I am no longer and would be willing to sell for a very reasonable price if someone wants them - I have a couple of different lengths. They look very old school because of the color. Here is a link to some for sale on ebay - by changing the suffix on the P/N, you can get different lengths:

I was going to use those on my car also but I found these Supertanium's and I will be using those instead...

Actually as previously stated SAI would by military surplus hardware for, cheaper to get and higher quality than the hardware store would offer. SAI tended to use "CXS" stamped hex bolts (mostly cadmiumum plated) when building out competition Cobras, areas of use included everything from Weber linkages to suspension hardware.
