Meaning, of course, that Gasholes give us $10 to sign our shirts, hats, posteriors, or whatever piece of anatomy is presented.....the $10 going to the cash portion of bail bonds.

Roger,
You left your valuable pieces of anatomy on the side of the road a long time ago, my friend...
And let me quickly address the issue of this years food selection. It was my idea and if it doesn't go over well, I'll take full responsibility. The decision came for two reasons. First, call me cheap, but I always bristled at the idea of asking people to cough up $30 (if there are two people coming in a car) just to come to a car show, even if the food is really good. I just feel bad doing it. So I thought maybe we'd try cutting down some. Second issue was that our vendor, while I loved his services, was getting expensive. I had to gaurantee him 100 people. And since we didn't reach 100 people, the money became a bit tight. But this is a learning experience. For next year, what we may do is just get a firm price from our vendor if we only gaurantee him 75 people...or if the event really grows, we'll have 100 people anyway!! Ironically, this year seems like may be the year we do hit 100 people. We're doing hoagies too this year, so we'll have a variety of things. So hopefully, it won't be a big issue, and we'll learn from it for next year.
Of course another option is to do our own cookout. Maybe buy raw burgers and everyone can throw one on their valve covers. First one to get to well done wins!!
Steve

Just a quick update for everyone....
So far, we're up to about 33 cars pre-registered. So we haven't quite hit the magic 50 number yet, but I will say that we're a good 30% ahead of previous years. Usually, we have about 25 cars pre-register and another 15-20 that show up the day of the event. So I think it's looking very promising to have our largest turn out ever. In addition to the Cobras, we've got a few Daytona coupes coming, and a handful of Shelby Mustangs coming.
The forcast is calling for bright sunshine!!! Finally!! But they are saying it's going to be hot. We will have plenty of cold water and soda at the ready for everyone. And the cruise route ends at a local ice cream shop. Don't forget your shades.
Really looking forward to seeing everyone there!
Steve
