Cobras with Roundels
I plan on getting a new SPF car and would like to order it with roundels. I don't plan on racing the car, I just like the way they look. However, I notice that there are very few Cobras with roundels. Is it because you guys don't like them or are there other reasons? I know the old saying of buying what you like and not caring what other people think but I hate to order a car that other people don't find appealing. Any opinions you could give me would be appreciated.

If you like it do it. I personally like the Roundels. I sometimes drive with the vinyl roundels on the sidef my car. I first did the roundels so as to make my car different. But as you can guess at our next meeting someone else had done the same..

HI, JERRY,
YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER THE "VINYL CLING" TYPE OF ROUNDEL (MEATBALL). I "KNOW" THAT THEY WILL STAY ON AT LEAST UP TO 135 MPH. IT'S THE BEST OF BOTH WORDS - PUT 'EM ON WHEN YOU WANT THEM - TAKE 'EM OFF WHEN YOU DON'T.
YOU CAN ORDER THESE WITH ANY NUMBER YOU WANT - OR WITH NO NUMBER - FROM ENZO AT FINISHLINE.
Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY,
BLACKJACK

Jerry,
I wanted the meatballs painted on the hood and trunck of my SPF, but the change order to have them painted didn't get to the factor in time. I was disappointed, but... life goes on.
Static cling work great on the sides, but one can never really get that "painted meatball" affect on the hood/trunck with static cling.
Good luck,
Randy R...

HI, RANDY,
SEVERAL OF THE GUYS IN THE CAPITAL AREA COBRA CLUB HAVE THE ROUNDELS ON THE HOOD AND THE TRUNK. TWO OF THEM I DON'T BELIEVE EVER TAKE THEM OFF. THEY LOOK SO GOOD THAT I THOUGHT THEY WERE PAINTED ON UNTIL THE OWNERS TOLD ME OTHERWISE.
I THINK A LOT HAS TO DO WITH THE APPLICATION TECHNIQUE AND HOW CAREFULLY THEY ARE STORED BETWEEN USES.
Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY,
BLACKJACK

The following companies sell Rondelles (Meatballs)
Finish Line: http://www.cobraaccessories.com/home.htm
Squier Design: http://www.squierdesign.com
Operations Plus: http://www.cobracountry.com/opsplus/
Pegasus Auto Racing: http://www.pegasusautoracing.com
I like the Squier because you can choose the size, font, color and trim ring. Plus they will make anything else you want.

I agree that application and storage are key to static cling...
What I was referring to were the meatballs on the hood and trunk, where one typically lays a solid white meatball on top of the double stripes. Doing so doesn't show any break in the white stripes. This is kinda hard to describe in writing, so look at the blue/white cobra in the "Club Cobra" logo at the top left corner of this page. See how the stripes on the hood have a break that separates the meatball? That's the affect that is very hard to get from static cling meatballs... Make sense? Hope so...
Regards,
Randy R...

OK, RANDY - - -
NOW I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. THE COBRA THAT I HAD THE MEATBALLS ON WAS SOLID BLACK - - NO STRIPES.
AS I RECALL, I'VE SEEN THE COBRAS WITH THE STRIPES AND THE STATIC CLING MEATBALLS AND IT DIDN'T LOOK BAD AT ALL.
OF COURSE - - A LITTLE BIT OF ELECTRICIANS 1/2" VINYL TAPE IN A CLOSE COLOR, JUDICIOUSLY APPLIED MIGHT SOLVE THE PROBLEM ALSO.
SOME OF THE MANUFACTURERS PRODUCE THE RONDELLES WITH A BORDER OR MARGIN STRIPE IN A COLOR OF YOUR CHOICE.
ROSCOE - - YOU ARE TRULY AN EXCEPTIONAL RESOURCE. THANKS.
Y'ALL HAVE AREALLY GREAT DAY,
BLACKJACK

You mean there's another like mine? Sure I was up there parked with all those FFR's in the second row.
