Default 4in centerline radius die for 3/4in tubing

Hi! Do any of you scratch builders have a 4in centerline radius die for 3/4in tubing that would be willing to bend 2 pieces of tubing with 2 90 degree bends in each piece? The way I am going about it, I am trying to heat a piece of tubing and bend it around a wooden form. I am not happy with the results. Let me know. Thanks Mark

Hey Mark if you can live with a smaller radius I can help you out. Mine is 2.25".

check with a local mechanical contractor shop. They bend tubing and should have the dies/bender. A shop that builds car frames, dirt track or drag car should have benders.

Default bending tubing with heat

if you pack the tubing with clean dry sand and plug both ends the tubing won't collapse while you heat and bend it around a form. if the tubing is 1/16" wall a peice of 5/8" round welded in both ends should work, it has to be packed very tight. i just made hinges for my car using 5/8" stainless tubing and bent them around a much smaller radius.

I've been using a conduit bender for that radius.
