Real knockoffs
Does anyone know what the torque value would be for trigo knockoffs ?..instead of lead hammer blows...will be using a tool that grips the tri bar ears and will use a 1/2' drive torque wrench..

A 1/2 torque wrench will not be able to apply the torque needed. Use a lead hammer or a single hand 5 lb sledge and a 2x2x18" length of hardwood. Personally I like the latter as it keeps the hammer away from the wheels.

And for the newbs, what is the "proper" lead hammer way of tightening these wheels?

I believe there is no torque value, never was. If there was, you would be looking at something in the region of 300lbtf.
Would you buy a 1" drive torque wrench, have it in your car with you just for the wing nut? And you would also need a special "nut" to engage at the wing nuts too, unless you have a hex :-)
Ask at Porsche or Ferrari. I believe they have one center nut on their Stradale / RSR versions.

Most other cars with knodk-offs are in the 300 FT-LB range.
Use a lead hammer, don't go crazy. Once it's snug two more firm hits. Alternate the wing you're striking. Wire it on.

torque specs
Hello, Dom & Bob are correct, we have a '02 Porsche GT3 RS race car and the torque specs on the wheel nuts are 265 ft. lbs. they take a super size torque wrench. Lead hammer & wire are working great on the cobras.

We Torque the Center Lok wheels from BBS to 500# with a 3/4" X 6' foot long torque wrench......
And it takes about 600# lbs to break them loose when we come off the track....
That's also what we torqued the GT-1 Corvettes to.
