I have found that the steering arm with a bend like you have there causes crazy amounts of bump steer.
To get the bump steer to zero the steering arm ball joint needs to be 40mm ( 1.5"+) further outboard. However, this causes major problems with the original spec brake rotors, and of course the steering arm need to be re shaped.
To get around this I use a different rotor that I have to modify to fit the 6 peg hub. and a different brake calliper.
Take the steering arm from the other side of the car as it requires less "bending" in order for it to put the pivot point in the ideal place.

Thanks for the tip.

Keep it up!
It can be tedious, I know... You're not only building a car, but also your character.
Especially the patience and (non-) temper side of your brain - if any of such is left ;-)
Which reminds me, I should get off this Mac and follow up on the suspension of my car.

Bolting and unbolting a few parts is not a big deal, getting from this to this is where the patience is tested.

Thanks Larry,
Nice talking with you the other day Chaz255.
Finished up the front steering arms and got the hubs, brakes etc all mounted.
Time to put this one down on its wheels again.

Big Thanks to Rodneym for the deal on the wheels and tires, we should be able to get this one down on the ground and ready for the body skins now.
Small steps but hopefully in the right direction!

tank
Al, thanks for the kind words.
David Kirkham sent me this challenge, after some cutting and a lot of beating with a variety of different size hammers I was able to persuade the stainless steel to resemble what it once was.
Welded all back together and test fit into the frame.

fuel tank
Fixing the fuel tank enabled me to move on with finishing up the tank straps and tank strap hooks.
The tank fit was spot on, love it when that happens.
A big thanks to a couple of friends for giving me inspiration and motivation to get some work done in this cold weather,
you know who you are!

Hi Bill
Thanks for the great complements, of course you are welcome to buy another.
Your HiTech is still one of my favorite cars out there we built, in fact we like your red so much, red is at the top of the color list for this car.
Two of my favorite pictures of your car!

Nice to see those two pics, Craig. I hated to give up the great look of those Goodyears...but it rides sooo much better on radials on the roads up here.
I won't be going to the Poconos. Longish drive for one thing...and the other thing is that my ex lives too near the track
