Thanks Steve,
I think so as well:3DSMILE: this one is really starting to take shape.

I covered the inside of the inner rear wheel fenders, then installed them in place.

This is the only active thread on CC that I bother to research for updates. I learn something new with each post/picture.

Thanks for your positive comments,

Got the rear bulkhead in, floor and suspension cover in on one side.

The blue paint really looks great against the ally floor pans.

Next up I got the other floor panel in place, then installed the painted side vents.

Hi Craig,

The alloy work that you have done in the cockpit of this car is absolutely amazing. Most people will never realize how difficult it is to properly fabricate and fit these panels. Awesome job!!!

LMH 11-14-2016 02:31 PM

Personally, I'm happy to see the side vents painted! Nice job!

That's a detail that I can truly appreciate, as virtually all replica builders leave them in raw alloy or polished stainless (arguably more so for convenience than realism, but many like that look). Yes, they are a PITA to paint properly (speaking from experience), but with the right gun and line pressure you can do them well without sags/drips.

They are truly a paint in the @ss to paint - took 3 tries and a good rub out before I was satisfied with mine.

Some folks prefer polished (or brushed) aluminum, sir. :D
