Craig
Did you center the hole?
It is supposed to be offset inch to right.

Yeah, I have a 1/2" shim under drivers side motor mount to try to fix just that! Then, your passenger side header pipes coming out of the body start to rub the bottom of the body outlet. THEN, you end up with the driver's side throttle linkage up against the head / headers. It's something of a conundrum that has haunted me for a while...

Was the air cleaner interfering with the hood cut out?

It wasn't lining up so I had to either use a shorter air filter or move things over. I think in my case, the problem was compounded by the way Shelby installed the footbox.

Neutral
More parts ready for powder coating, these are the control arm covers that go behind the seats and in the trunk.
I never did like the fiberglass ones as they never seemed to fit that well.

Hey Jeff,
yes I did center the hole, I also make the opening a little wider as well, my thinking, more cold air in when driving, more hot air out when stopped.
I also always try and run the ford sidewinder intake, that pulls the carburetor back close to center.
Even with a center carburetor setup the small air cleaner and turkey pan will sit under the cut out.
Turkey pan is plenty wide enough to catch the cut out.
Thanks for keeping me straight
