Brakes,
The brakes we are going with are the Wilwoods front and rear, (for now) we talked long and hard about this as Kevin would very much like to go with the original Girlings, and we may some day.

We both agreed if the Wilwoods are going to be used the calipers appearance had to change.

This is what I came up with!

Both Kevin and I like the finished look.

Fantastic build.

Just curious. What size front and rear master brake cylinders are you using?

Cheers

Nice job on the calipers. Dave Wagner does that on his cars too. Gives it a more vintage look.

Impressive!
Sometimes, it doesn't take much to make it look period correct and get away with more modern gear. Just need to stand back, obtain a better perspective....and the solution often becomes clearer.

Well done!

Cheers,
Glen

Took a drive to VA to visit Craig and the Cobra. I was very happy with the progress but even happier with the incredible workmanship and attention to detail. My car will be back on the ground soon and making lots of noise!! I have attached a few pictures of the interior. Wilton wool carpeting and leather are amazing.

Always been curious how to get a neat finish on the vynil round the FIA suitcase bulge. How do you cope with the corners? Is it stitched together?

How did you get the finish on the Wilwood calipers? It looks like their new
mil-spec type III anodizing minus the Wilwood logo. Did you simply just
bead blast their original type II black anodizing off? I like the look!

Craig and I worked with British Wiring to make a harness that looks period correct where it can be seen, but incorporates many modern safety features hidden behind the dash. Craig has been using the original style wire clamps and aluminum wire ties. I am very happy with the results.

Here is some of the "modern" wiring hidden behind the dash. Thanks PatrickT for sharing some of your expertise!! Craig made a custom bracket to hold the modern fuse box, relays and Maxi fuse. Very clean and tidy installation.

The black finish was removed with media blast, I am going to hold off on what I used for the coating as I want some test miles on things to make sure its going to do the job.

Very happy to this point with the outcome.

Can I ask if the fuel pressure gauge is electronic or capillary? Also is it possible to have a low pressure light or buzzer?

Fuel pressure gauge is electronic on this one. I don't see why you couldn't add a low pressure switch as well to the system.
