Hello Everyone, It's been a tough winter. Shortly after getting the Manta home I broke a bone in my foot. That laid me up for awhile. Then I needed surgery a few weeks ago (not my foot). I've been recovering and am just now thinking of getting back to my shop.

I started a list of what I was going to need to build the Manta. I was going to run an LS engine that I had. Looking into transaxles I found that I was going to spend 12K or more to get one that had the gearing that I needed, had limited slip and could handle the power. I also was going to have to build a new frame.

I decided that with my health issues that now was not the time to take on the Manta. I had several people contact me about buying it. I sold it last week. I've decided to stick with my Cheetah inspired car. I love it and I'm going to upgrade the drive train and work on a top. Sad to see it go.

John,

It's tough when life gets in the way of doing what we want to do. I had surgery recently and have to wait until May before I can start my rehab; it sucks having to not be able to do things.

Your Cheetah is still a nice project to work on and perfect. Good luck with that and hope that your recovery goes quick.

It's finally starting to get warm.
Jim

John - sometimes life just does what life has to do. No rhyme nor reason, nor right nor wrong or anything you could've done differently. The main thing is that we keep on going on. I'd love to keep hearing about your progress with the Wildcat and whatever else is going on.
If you broke your foot in some villain's butt, cheers and admiration; but if it was an accident - I sympathize - get well soon
