spare wheel
very nice Karl!
you are building a competition car, that's probably why you are not worried about how to fir the spare wheel insert (trunk tub)
who makes the sunburst wheels?
where did you get the lwr control arm bush?
and I see you cut the rear shock mounts flush with the tube going across to allow for easier fitment of the spare wheel insert - if you wanted one ;-)
no, just now I see you didn't!

More parts:
Thanks guys, the front suspension should be here tuesday. and the 2nd steering universal & shaft will be here today. I may be ready to take Dave for a test ride when he stops for a visit.
The suspension is a complete CSX4000 new car take off. The package included everything out to the knock offs, all hardware, shocks, sway bars and steering rack.
The trunk will be all aluminum just like the interior, then the engine compartment. I have not had much time to work on the project lately.
The boxes are all outgoing, I sell pistol, rifle & shotgun targets to the FBI, Marines, state & local police dept. So boxes are never an issue, EXCEPT TRIGO, why did they have cobras all over the boxes? I was caught that time. hahaha
Regards, Karl

trunk
I see,
so you rivet the trunk in piece by piece.
I just tried to load www.csxinfo.net, because I think Kris had a good picture of the bigger "kick outs" to cover the upper shock mounts.
with the upper mounts cut flush you would have gotten away with a smaller one, just to clear the upper control arm in bump.
that is one of the things I changed in the Cobra Restorers blueprints.

Lynn (Trigo) told me that he, at one time, made Sunburst wheels. He actually has one in his shop, very cool wheels!

WOW!, Karl you must have a fair amount of time to get to work in the shop. Basicly I'm way jealous and wish I could get that far that fast. But for now I will juggle the umteen projects I'm currently trying to complete. Great work I commend you. Pat

front & rear suspension
thanks guys but it is no big deal. I purchased the suspension complete and just bolted it onto the chassis. The entire process lasted a couple hours and it was finished.
Anyone talk to Nick lately? Is he driving down for Carlisle?
Regards, Karl
BTW: Hey Pat, where do you live? I have a little boy that would enjoy that tracked ATV you have pictured. We live on a small farm and have plenty of space & terrain for it.

Karl
I'll be flying up to Baltimore , renting a car and going to bounce all around PA May 17-23. I'm going to hit Carlisle, Hersey's GOODGUYS Rod Show, Blandon, State College and last but not least Schwenksville.
I ordered footboxes from Tim. Did you make the corner support piece on the box to support the outlet for your steering?
Can't wait to see the car in person. I'll send you a PM later today.
My MGB just lost hydraulic slave so under the car I go. It's aways something

Karl, the tank as it is refered around here was my last creation, and resides in northern minnesota. It was built to pull a small trail grooming sled for snowmobile trails maintained buy some realy good friends, but it is still getting all the bugs worked out. It looks even cooler large scale. Way huge project 4 years and change. Pat
