I guess your brother can be mean, but at least he was nice enough to talk to me when I stopped in the parking lot in a really beat 91 sentra.

Does your family ever bring your toys out to Maple Grove Raceway for Friday Night Grudge racing? A friend of mine has gotten me to go once a year for the past 2 years. I have not gone this year yet. My RX-7 has gotten used to being beaten by some faster cars, so losing to a mustang or cobra could be cool.

Default Maple Grove

No drag racing. That is for my two brothers in law, the one has a rear engine dragster & a baretta.........and the other has a thunderbird. They are full drag race super comp looking cars. The dragster is leading the points series racing for something.......NHRA season long points race.

You are welcome to stop by any time to have a look and talk cobras and racing. Later, Karl

Karl,

Very nice job you are doing. Off the subject of your Cobra I would like to know what value you would put on your Sunbeam Tiger? My youngest daughter has always wanted one.

karl,

did you cut the body in the rocker panel area or did you get it like that?
My fibre bodies are one-piece and a pain to mount and I am tempted to cut them in half...

My fiberglass body is one piece and I have to shoehorn it into place.
The front end has to go on first and then gradually pushing it back as it is lowered with the rear end having to be pulled over the rear of the bird cage. A tight fit and atleast a two person job, unlike KARL's
I really thought about cutting mine into about 10 pieces but that was after alot of head scratching and 5 beers.

hi Ken,

I had nine of CSX4000 leftovers, sold 4 or 5 and could get another two...
One will be used on a Jaguar chassis with an straigth 6 :-(
I needed the money!!
Remember, that's over here in south-africa.

the front comes on first...
I try that with the next car! (Or cut them. It also takes less storage and is easier to handle and transport)

Hi karl , i have a question :
What type of material do you use to make your chassis ?

Quote:
I fabricated the chassis from the CR prints, and I fabricated most of the other pieces & parts you see in the photos.
What is CR prints ?

I'm starting to search about cobra and i have a lot of questions

Default Material

Hello, I used 4" x .125 DOM tubing for the main tubes and the CR is Cobra Restorers. CR has an advert on the Cobra Country web site.

This is the best place to ask questions, Mickmate, Dominik, Grumpy, Kris, Elgecko, Three Peaks and several other members have "been there and done that" many times.

Good Luck with your build, Karl

We've been through this before recently. Cobra Restorers prints are $200 and worth about $50 if you calculate the number of correct dimensions. This is Karl's build thread and we'd like to keep it that way please guys. There are plenty of other post headings to discuss these under or start a new thread.
Thanks!
