Default Tires?

Wayne,
Do you guys use BFG T/As on all the cars? I noticed on your postings in August that they were listed in your specs. I'm just curious if you like them or if availability of other tires is playing a role.
Do you know what tires they will be running on the cars in the Cobra Challenge races?
Thanks

BFG's are generally installed. They wear good, but the traction isn't that great. I think you will never get decent traction out of a street tire on a Cobra! I have seen a couple sets of Goodyear Eagle II tires, and they seem to be nice but only time will tell.

I know the prototype Challenge car did the best on Hoosier slicks. I don't have any details on them except they are Hoosiers.

Thumbs up Just a little too late......

Thanks for the response anyway. I needed tires and ended up with BFG's. I had worn out a set of Goodyear Eagles, (the cheap ones) I needed them for the Baer / Hotchiss track event at Firebird on March 30. I got to run a little with Gary and Vance (I think) with the CSX 4000 cars they brought out to the track. It was fantastic to run on the track next to your cars, at least for a little while. One car had Hoosiers the other had Goodyears, Thanks for being there to run with, It's always nice to rub shoulders with the big boys.
