Jdog, you should shoot a video of it starting up and post it on that web site yourspace.com, so that all of us can see and hear it!

Congrats. If the fuse is going to be lit tomorrow, post an approximate time.... may stop by for the lift-off.

Likewise on meeting you Jerome.
Looks to be a beautiful car, and it will be well worth the wait in just a few more days.

How's it looking jdog? Is it true? Is Tom gonna fire it up tomorrow? If so, I'm there!

Not until Monday
We aren't ready to start it up tomorrow. Won't be until Monday or Tuesday.
I should know tomorrow afternoon if we will be starting it on Monday. I'll post tomorrow.
I don't know about a video, but I will sure take some photo's. I don't have a digital video camera.
Anybody have a digital video camera? I wouldn't know how to upload a video from my old 8mm.
jdog
P.S. Thanks for all of the support everybody, I only hope to become one of you!

A stickler!
Yeah, Tom's a bit of a stickler for the detail!
It just takes time to do it right, & Tom's sure not one for "cutting corners"!
It was good to see you there today Ken, I'll take you up on the offer for a ride!
I glad your car is finally dialed-in.
As you could see, we won't be starting it on Monday. Possibly Tuesday, but more likely Wed.
I'll post an update on Monday.
jdog
P.S. It is making very good progress, but a couple of items took a little more time than we thought it would. Fitting the headers was a b*tch!

For consideration
Hi Jerome,
Not to rain on the parade, but just a thought to pass along so you are aware.... My bet is he's going to do his magic with nobody around, without any distractions or anyone looking over the shoulder so all the details are taken care of for you properly. I'd recommend that starting party after he gives you the thumbs up. It will be worth the little extra wait. Getting closer...

I suspect so!
Yeah I suspect so, but that doesn't really count. It's like a tree falling in the forest, if you weren't there to see it, did it really happen?
I'll make sure Tom approves of the time!
It will be next week for sure!
jdog
P.S. Duane, I could use a few tips on the "Temp. Reg. crawl", until Jan.

jdog,
There's nothing like being there for the first crank. I have seen Tom's magic and his wand that he swirls over the engine just before he starts it. That's all I can say as I am sworn to secrecy.
Tom also has a very elite club called the “Flashlight Club.” There aren’t many of us but ask him about it. I think you qualify.
Very best of luck, John

What?
John,
Hey - He showed you the flashlight trick?! Man, and here I thought I was seeing something somewhat secret. Although, he did break out the green laser scope the last time I was there. It's truly an after-hours kinda thing though and it rarely comes out of its case. If anyone here asks him about it, he'll act like it doesn't exist or he has no idea of what you are talking about. Area 51 kinda stuff.

Too Cool!
Thanks so much Amy, I owe you a cold one!
Things are going well with my car as you can see. I will post some pictures of it 'on the road' soon.
Thanks again for everything,
jdog
P.S. Shelby Auto's surely needed you. Also, Happy Anniversary!

Really quiet!
You know it may have ruined everything by me even knowing of the "Flashlight Ceremony". But since I haven't actually seen it, we could still be ok!
Tom's gotten real quiet all of a sudden, so I think we might be close. It looks almost ready to fire up to me, but Tom won't say. He must be waiting for that last magical ingredient like, an eye of newt or a piece of unicorn horn, to arrive.
And then when the time is right, and the moon is in just the right phase, in the dark of night, by the light of the magic flashlight, he will bring her to life!
Could be very soon, I think I should be able 'feel it' when it actually happens.
"My name is Tommy.
And I became aware this year.
See me.
Feel me.
Touch me.
Heal me.
Listening to you,
I get the music.
Gazing at you,
I get the heat.
Following you,
I climb the mountains.
I get excitement at your feet."

Very cool jdog!!! I'm going to be living vicariously through you for a while. Had another scheduling setback with the coupe and looks like I won't make Monterey next month. I hope 4795 lets out its first ROAR real soon AND I hope you were able to borrow a digital camcorder! We need to have some video with GOOD SOUND!!!!
Take care!
Doug
