Trivia Quiz: Real Shelby Replicas
We all know that the CSX4000, CSX7000 and CSX8000 cars are real Shelbys complete with real Shelby serial numbers.
Given SAI's stand on non-CSX replicas, is it correct to state that all CSX serial chassis were produced by AC for SAI, Kirkham for SAI, or SAI?

That's easy!
YES, YES, and YES.
But you also left out McCluskey.

I was kinda looking at McCluskey as a sub-contractor!
ST,
You're right (and wrong), BUT THERE WAS ANOTHER ENTITY THAT PRODUCED CSX SERIALED CARS!
Who was it?

..across the pond
A small number of cars were made by a replica company in UK (not near my files, so I can't tell you the name).
That was when the CSX6000 series was reserved for replica makers that "tithed" a royalty to C$.
...right?

Not Hawk or Hawke
If I'm not mistaken, at least one ClubCobra member owns one of these and it's not a Hawk.
Hint: The chassis was designed by Reynard. (The now defunct English race car builder.)

...found my info:
"CSX6000 series - Cobra replicas whose manufacturers contribute to Shelby Heart Fund or are otherwise endorsed by Shelby. RAM Automotive in England is the only one at this time."
Reynard designed the chassis on the RAM replica.

Computerworks is Right, but .....
Ram Automotive was authorized to produce 427 S/C replicas on January 6, 1994.
The RAM utilized a Ford Cosworth drivetrain including ALL-WHEEL0-DRIVE. Not a bad idea for a little car with a lot of horsepower! It competed sucessfully in the British Inter-Marque Championship against Porsche Ferrari, and Aston Martin.
Added to the AC team due to a lack of original AC cars, AC (with RAM) won the team prize.
Computerworks chose to answer more than was asked. He would not make a good witness in court. The nformation I have is that the cars were serialized starting with CSXR4001.
That's right, Evan. CSXR4001!!!

Looked in your gallery (which is its own nice little site) and couldn't find a reference to RAM on any pic--where are you trying to post it from?

Jamo,
Tried to attach a photo of of CS with the boys from RAM, but it wouldn't work.
I've done it before, so I don't now what's going on. I'll upload it to a website and link to it.
Stan
Thanks for the compliment.
