Since the start of this thread, some 12+ years ago, quite a bit of history has been filled in and is now known. The SAAC registrar can chime in if he likes, or you can purchase a SAAC Cobra registry. Either way, 3051 currently resides in Ohio, and is not currently for sale to the best of my knowledge.

CSX has always been in Ohio to my knowledge. Richard “Butch” Merrill was the original owner. He raced at times, don’t remember where In Ohio, but would have been the early 70s. Car sat in his garage on Will Drive until mid 80s after several tragic family events. Last time I saw CSX3051 it had a large dent in the fender, his kids would lean their bike on it. I just recently found out the number for Butch’s car and was trying to find out where it was currently located. Butch passed away some time ago. If the owner wants details I’d gladly help, I’m going to visit his ex wife this summer and can probably get whatever info is desired along with old photos.
