Below is part of a post I found on the net. I have no frickin idea what the #ell it means, as I'm clueless to electronics !

Different sending units for electronic speedometers. They listed the following - Signal generators or Hall Effect Generators/Switches, Vehicle Speed Sensor VSS, Magnetic Proximity Sensor, Signal Converters
Just bring it to the electronic shops, so they can guide you on where to put those. Just a suggestion.
