How to Polish Cast Stainless Overiders

Does anyone have experience polishing cast stainless bumper overiders ? I spent about 20 minutes on one of them and realized the as cast surface scratches are pretty deep and I will need to go below 320 grit sandpaper to remove the scratches as cast. Once I get to 1500 grit paper then what ? Do I need to wet sand ? Tried Mothers Alum polish and it worked a bit. Advice?

You need to buff with a polisher and rouge. You know, like as simple as a buffing wheel on your grinder.

before you buff with rouge, use a beartex wheel ( scotchbrite wheel) it will smoothout the surface then you can put a luster on it with a buffer

I usually use this gritty red stuff on the buffing wheel first. Maybe after the ScotchBrite. Then I use the polishing bar and a different wheel for the final finish.

Thanks all , I also found the whole kit from Eastwood Company and their instructions are great and easy to follow.
