Exclamation Help Needed on Power Window Switch

Has any of you run into a Driver's Window Switch that works the Driver's side fine, but will not operate the Passenger front or rear windows? In trying the Passenger side switch, the passenger window still fails to operate. (?) I'm the new Owner of this Convertible and I didn't get an Owner's Manual with it. I did look at a Haynes Manual and saw that it not only has a circuit breaker as well as a fuse. It also stated the fuse box was under the Drivers side as well as a fuse block under the hood. The fuses were fine under the hood, but I couldn't find a fuse box there...the DLC for reading the ECM codes and what not, but where is this "ghost" fusebox live?

Any and all help to facilitate this repair would be greatly appreciated.

Respectfully Submitted,
From ~The Twilight Zone~

~Power Surge~

What kind of car do you have? What made you want to ask your question on this particular site? Everybody's pretty cool here and I'm sure someone will be able to help you if you could give a little more information.

Most production cars have a switch that isolates only the drivers door and disconnects all the others from working.........to stop the kids winding the windows up and down ....you know!!!

Sal had a space between the words "Power Surge". He has not been on here in almost 2 years.

I just figured that SPF decided to add power side windows as an option.

Hi, Tim...I have a friend who referred me to this site, and typed the question for me. I have a 2001 Cobra convertible 5-speed, with a 4.6 liter 8-cyl dual overhead cams (whatever all that means!) engine. I'm the 3rd owner, and the manual was lost or misplaced along the way. If you need more info, please let me know, and thank you for considering my question!

Debra

You need a Mustang site.

So you have a 2001 Mustang Cobra?

You might want to go to an auto parts store and pick up a Haynes or Chilton manual. It should have a wiring diagram. That might help you.

I have a wiring diagram for a 1988 from a Chilton manual. Don't know if that will help or not.

If you think it will help, I can scan it and e-mail it to you. You would have to PM me with your e-mail address as I do not think that I can attach anything thru the CC e-mail function.
