Purepop,

I haven't heard of any problems with the rear ends. Your best bet would be to take it to your dealer and have them check it out. Don't want any surprises going down the road.

HEY PUREPOP, HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH SPF 923 WHEN NEW
WHAT I FOUND WERE THE PARKING BRAKE CALIPERS TEND TO RATTLE AROUND IN THIER MOUNTING BRACKETS
WHAT I DID WAS INSTALL SHIMS IN THE SPACE BETWEEN THE BRACKET AND CALIPERS, 8000 MI LATER NO CLUNKING

The willwood spot calipers do rattle when not correctly adjusted. Even when adjusted correctly, the caliper itself can move for-and-aft on the mounting bracket and make noise. There are also 6 U-joints just a foot or two away from your ears in that car, normal backlash on all of them will still sound cluncky under the right conditions. A bad axle will definately make noise, as will poor diff mounting. Put the car up on jackstands and start looking around, starting with the parking brake calipers and the driveshaft u-joints, the rear tranny mount, the axles, and diff mounting.

I had a similar problem with my SPF.....

Check your driveshaft to rear housing bolts. If they are loose you will get a clunking sound. They are tough to get to to tighten. Make sure to use LockTite.

Purepop / Mr. Fixit: I've heard of the Wilwood brake problems too (and I don't even have my car yet). Go to Finish Line www.cobraassories.com, they sell anti-rattle springs made for SPF's for $40.00 bucks that I hear solve that problem. Hopefully thats all it is Purepop!
