Removing coolant spray from engine bay

Anyone have a great and easy on the elbow grease method of removing coolant/anti-freeze spray from inside the engine bay?

My expansion tank developed a weak weld on one of the hose elbow fittings and has been "spritzing" coolant for several months all over my engine bay. I used elbow grease and water on the hood underside, but as some of you know, antifreeze is a nice gooey, sticky, slimy mess after several months of exposure to air and heat. I was going to start with Simple Green or Greased Lightning (which is more PH neutral) and hose it down.

Rag sprayed with WD 40?

Worked for me, but I couldn't say if it is the easiest way of all.

Try a solution of dishwashing liquid (Dawn is pretty good on greasy stuff) and water, perhaps with a bit of lemon juice.

Dave unfortuntately that's usually beer he already swallowed earlier in the evening

Why not just drive down to the friendly corner self serve car wash and use the spray wand? That has worked for me.
