Default Jag emergency brake hookup

Can any one pass along how they hooked up emergency brakes on a Jag rear. Are there any after market brackets out there? I don't have the original scissor type setup, and naturally, the original cage is not being used. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The two that I am familiar with are a cable entering from the side of one e-brake caliper arm and running to the other arm. When the handle is pulled the arms are pulled together. The method I used was to connect a piece of coated wire cable to each of the arms, then loop them thru a bracket with rollers and allow the loop to be pulled by a short linkage running from the brake handle. I would love to get a pix. At one time I started with a pulley/wheel method but didn't see easy way to mount it to anything. Maybe just let it hang might work. I also saw in a Jag manual the cable connecting through both arms. I'm going to think about these two methods again. Thanks for the input.

The jag parking brake uses a cable that has the outer sheath pressed against the first brake lever with the inner cable then passing through the first brake lever and attached to the second lever.

When the handbrake/parking brake lever is pulled the inner cable pulls the second lever inwards towards the pinion diff housing/ propshaft. The outer cable sheaf, acting under the tension caused by the shortening of the inner cable, simultaneously pushes the first brake lever inwards also towards the propshaft/pinion housing.

The outer cable sheath is fixed at the handbrake lever.

The handbrake on these cars was only ever "for show" as they never really worked properly. I would have to be a pretty dire "emergency" for me to consider using it to actually stop the car......

I had heard that, but I already have a "Jag Brake Cable" I bought a few years ago from Lokor. The rear side of the cable didn't fit through the sleeve on the first brake caliper lever. I was giving some thought to the drive shaft type systems but I can think of a ton of other stuff I could buy for the $400+ needed for that setup.
