turkey pan??

What is the general view about running a turkey pan on a 351C with 750 Holley double pumper? Does it make much difference?

If your talking pan vs no pan i think it makes a difference. This was used as a sort of cold air box. It helps keep hot air from underhood going into the engine. Using the scoop to feed it fresh cold air. Just check your pan/hood clearance. Not sure if your question was carb related also.G.

I was reading something on the Barry Grant site just today that said that you'll see roughly a 1 percent increase in horsepower for every 10 degrees that you can lower the temperature of the air being fed into the intake.
