Default 351W engine mounts left & right?

Does anyone know if standard engine mounts for a 351W engine are the same on both sides? Or, is one for the left side and the other for the right?

After removing and reinstalling my engine, one side is noticeably lower than the other and I'm wondering what might cause that.

Depends on what kind of mounts you have, but usually the SBF mounts have a left and right. It only applies to the locating pins, though as they are the same height. See if your engine is setting square on the mounts. You might need to raise one side a bit so the other side can slide down into place.

Default 351W engine mounts

The early years are the same on both sides. Autozone part #2257. I had them on my car and after about 3500 miles the driver's side (torque side) mount began to separate.

I just bought a pair of Prothane Mounts from Summit (part #PTP-6-503). They went on without a hitch and they are equipped with safety limiters so they can't separate.

Thanks for the input guys. I lifted the engine and pulled the engine mounts. They appear to be the same on both sides. I placed some washers between the mount and the engine on the low side and that seemed to help.
