Brake Fluid Weep

I have had my SPF for only about 1/2 yr and last night, during a good-night check-in, noticed the rubber hose from the clutch resevoir to the master cylinder looking like it was perspiring and I saw a drip on top of the frame from it. I don't see any loose connections that would cause leakage, so I am assuming that the brake fluid is weeping through the hose. A CC search confirmed my suspicion that this is what is happening.

I have wiped down the hose and cleaned up the drip to avoid any paint damage. Now, I intend to drain the resevoir and hose and replace the hose, but with what? I don't think that hard line is going to work due to the plastic resevoirs with push-on male ends.

Has anyone found a suitable, flexible solution to this problem that looks good? I prefer the black hose look and would think that even black nylon braid would satisfy my aesthetic requirements.

Gus had a friend use the ss braided hose then put heat shrink over to give the rubber look.

Okay, about a related item, WHY do all of the stainless steel braided brake lines I see have stickers on them that say; Not recommended for street use, Off road or race use recommended. Is this just on some of the braided steel lines and it just so happens that I have not looked at the right ones, or is this on "ALL" of the braided steel lines.

If you're talking about anything small enough for brake lines, in many states it's illegal to use a non-DOT approved hose in a brake system. It's not because they would fail due to pressure - they don't meet the "hang the caliper from the hose test". You can now buy DOT rated brake lines from Earls and Russell. They're reinforced where the hose goes into the fitting.

Nylon lined rubber hose from McMaster-Carr is brake fluid compatible. Part # is 5264K52 for the 3/8" size. It's a dull red in color. It won't weep like fuel line or vacuum line.
