289 slabside
I completed a Hawk slabside this summer, here in the UK. It's a high quality kit, with no obvious problems or weaknesses. OK, there's the usual amount of problem solving needed, but nothing that relates to problems with the kit or its parts. If you're used to working on cars, the job is pretty straightforward.
Spec is:
1965 Ford 289 HiPo, dyno'd at around 350
T5 WC gearbox
McLeod clutch
Ward engineering Jaguar rear, about to experiment with XJ40 outboard discs
Hawk adjustable tubular front suspension
Stainless steel original spec wire wheels, knock-ons
Painted 1960s Jaguar dark blue
Just registered for the first time - I'll try to attach a pic or two
