Default Will these work?????

9.5" x 17" wheels by P. S Engineering, 5" backspace

Will these work, adding adapters of course, on the Ford Mustang rear end used in my Cobra build, or will the spacing be off???

Thanks, Earl

My hub width is 59 1/2" and my build book says wheels with "standard" offset, what ever that is.
Now can someone tell me if these will work or not????

PLEASE...................

Earl,

I am assuming that your using a solid axle 9" or 8.8" rear right? I just went through a fiasco with my Everett-Morrison Cobra as I tried to put a 52 1/2" hub to hub 9" rear in my chassis and use the standard Trigo wheels (3 1/2" b.s.). No way Jose! I ended up having to sell the rear Trigo's for dirt and order a set of custom 6" backspace rears from Phil @ PSE Wheels. If you have have a 59+" rear hub to hub, you may be in for a very rough time. You can also check the width of the body at the rear wheel arches, but I am willing to bet you can't make them fit without either narrowing the rear or locating an earlier rear that is short from the factory (1955-1959 9" are 52 1/2"). Please let me know if you have any additional questions, I hope to prevent others from feeling the pain I have been through the last 6 months.

Later,

Chris
