Default more trouble..some GOOD news too

Well, the ole side oiler fired today and does she sound nice. Keith, nice job my man. Very happy with the whole thing

now the bad part, the slave on the clutch went out on the maiden voyage and we had to have a tow home. I need to know the rebuild kit number for a Wagner Lockheed FD-48909 slave. Everyone that we take the thing to, goes.."what's it out of?" and I just want to crawl over the desk and kill em. Then we explain it is not in the original car and we don't know. Then they call their buddies over and the second guy asks.."what's it out of?"...and around and around we go.

Any help is hugely appreciated.

Al

Jim and David,

The Wagner/Lockheed # FD48909 and the NAPA crossover #33721 (United Brake Parts). Here they are JUST in case. However, I think this may have been just a fluke.

Man that drives me crazy. I do some work on Sunbeam Tigers too and when I go to the large chain parts stores the kids behind the counter always look lost when I tell them the application since that is usually not in their computer. It has got to the point when I walk in I just tell them it is for a 65 Mustang. I miss the old parts house in my town.

Tinker,

I think that a lot of us miss the old parts houses where the owner knew the people and what they were talking about. Much better service and a lot more friendly. Try walking into the Ford dealer here and asking for a part that is over 5 years old. I wanted to see if I couod get a tail light lens a year or so ago and after the kid pulled up a hood, door, and rear panel, I told him to forget it.
