The Dynatech vortex would not fit in the exit turn out of my pipes so I cannot directly answer your question. I have spoken to people who have used them at the exit end of the pipes and they tell me it eas not so much a noise reductiona s a differnet tonal quality to the sound. Probably more effective in sound reduction at the collector end of the pipe. I will say that the discs from car chemistry did a good job in reducing sound and were easily installed and removed from the collector end of the pipe.
