pvc condensation

I seem to have a problem with oil sweating through the PVC hose. It actually looks like condensation on the outside of the hose but when I wipe it off it is oil. Does anyone know what may be causing this?

Some valve covers do not have oil baffles covering the area the PCV valve plugs into the cover. Without this baffle oil splash or droplets get pulled into the valve and hose but is heavy so not pulled vary far. This oil can settle at low points and/or get sucked the length of hose into carb.
Replace the hose and move on, do watch the function of the PCV valve as the heavy cold oil tends to disrupt funtion..... maybe a vac leak if stays open too long due to oil. It is made to suck vapor and not liquid oil in larger amount. Jeff c

Try taking out your PCV valve and looking to see if you do have a baffle under the hole in the valve cover. If not, you can make one easy enough.

Ron has you going the right direction, just make darn sure your new baffle does not fall into engine or any hardware you choose to secure in place.
Racer trick is to fill hose before valve with plastic pot scrubber material to block oil spray and condense to vapor, again make sure it can not get into engine. PS...... Most PCV valves need to be oriented properly to take advantage of flapper weight/gravity inside valve .

Thanks for the help. Sounds like it may be best to just keep the hose changed out.
