Hi everyone
Thought I would update all on my taurus fan install. I bought a 97 fan and a DC Controls variable speed controller and have them both in now. Controller is nice as far as ramps fan up gently so no huge amp draw but fan doesn't seem to pull as hard as I thought it would. I am finding strange results. My electronic thermometer that is mounted right beside the thermostat housing ( 180F Mr Gasket High flow thermostat) is reading @ 210F at 84F ambient but coolant in side to rad with digital temp gun shows 180F and rad out shows 130-140F. When I shoot stock mechanical water pump bypass and pump it shows 190-220 jumpy. Why am I getting such different readings ? I am 98% sure I have all air out. Could it be my water pump isn't circulating right ? Any thoughts ?
Thank You
Brent
PS any of you with taurus fan had it on in running car ? is it loud and really moving air or is it hard to tell over exhaust noise ?
